The town of Looe is steeped with history and in one of the most beautiful settings Cornwall has to offer.
River Looe runs through the centre of the town. What used to be two towns, East & West Looe in Medieval times, are now connected and by a pretty 1853 built 7 arched bridge. With a history of pilchard fishing, the industry has survived and the working harbour quay is a vibrant place especially worth watching the boats daily homecoming to unload their catch. Trawlers on the Quay overlooks the main harbour and reflects the town’s fishing heritage through delicious dishes that respect the fresh, local ingredients.
